In today's message we covered Galatians 5:16-26. This was an introduction to the fruits of the spirit and a short message of what to do with the sinful acts of nature..."I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God." 21 There were many analogies of how we should eliminate as much bad from our lives as possible. My favorite analogy was to think of our life as a garden and the bad things as weeds...you want your garden to look appealing to God and others so you should eliminate things that God and others wouldn't find pleasing if they knew you acted in this way. Now God already knows everything, all of your thoughts, actions, and words. This brought to my mind that I need to find some way to calm myself down when I'm mad and not just tear things apart in my head which doesn't really do me much of any good.
Ever since my friend Analise got back from her very long vacation it has been a good time of catching up and hanging out doing different things. We have hung out with our good friend Megan before she headed off for her vacation, performed a mini photo shoot, shared a home made dinner, and ventured to a friends bonfire all in a matter of a few days. It seems like no matter what we are doing somehow we end up laughing the longest time over something completely random and pointless. She is such a good friend and I'm glad she is in my life!
Lately I have become very aware that there is not much summer left. I have 8 days of my philosophy class left!!! then I head off to St. Louis with the family for vacation, come back to maybe work a day then spend two days packing and move back up to school. I can't believe there is so much to do and so little time. So I'm going to take this as a sign to be more productive and get to doing something else.
