Crazy...Insane times

So it has been awhile since my last post but things have gotten away from me.

School has been super busy with studying and trying to stay caught up with things. I truly do think I was insane to take 16 credit hours, work 10 hours a week and spend 5 hours doing club/group stuff. That is like a 40 hour work week and then throw on the countless hours of attempted studying and homework plus a little free time and I really don't think there is enough time in the week for all of this. In an attempt to make things a little better during the holiday and finals season of my life I have resorted to working one day a week and have my free afternoon back to study and catch up each week so I'm hoping that this will help me raise the grades and get through this semester. NEVER again will I attempt to do this!!!

One day about a week or two ago some recruits from Allen college came over to talk in our anatomy class and so afterwards I just asked when one might hear about admissions to the radiography program and they said they just made their final decision and I would hear a yes or no within 2-3 weeks. So my roommate has taken away my honor of checking the mail because every time I do I just get so nervous and my heart races. I really want this answer to be yes and things to just work out but it's in God's timing and plans not mine. I have been thinking of other options though for it that doesn't work out and right now am possibly settled on the idea of becoming an adoption counselor. I have talked to an advisor and am in the works to meet with someone who actually does this job to see if it would be something I am interested in. Lately I have just felt in "no mans land" because I really do need to plan for next semester but I also can't do much since I need an answer from Allen....GRRRRR.

Some of the girls I met this year and my roommate have begun the process of possibly finding a place to live next year off campus. It has been a challenge to find a place for 5 people that isn't overpriced. We have been calling this one lady who has a ton of properties but she just never answers when we call so we will keep trying because leases are being signed already and places will most likely be gone shortly after Christmas.

Halloween weekend was a fun time. Friday night I had to work and it was interesting see who was mixing what together for party drinks and all the different costumes. Saturday I got the pleasure of going to Ft. Dodge to watch Quinn and the Golden Hawk cross country team run at State cross country. From their state standings last year to this year they improved 7 places to get 8th out of 15 teams! It's so hard to believe that his senior year is going so fast with cross country being over and by the time I'm home for Thanksgiving break in two weeks basketball will be under way. On Saturday night some of us went to a party and then some of us came back early and crashed. With the time change we got 5 hours of sleep, it was a long night.
