Well tonight was my last night of the summer to work at Coralville HyVee. I'm happy and sad at the same time because I did have some good friends there and got to know some of the regular customers but I know I will have new regulars when I start up in Cedar Falls!
I'm happy that school is starting up again soon because I will be able to take care of myself and my schedule, get to see my friends whom I have only talked to over facebook or the phone most of the summer, and will get to finally turn in my radiology school application and wait to hear if I'm admitted. I hope and pray with all my might that I do get in and if not I will be leaning fully on God for my direction because I have no clue where he might want me to go if this isn't the route.
The end of summer for me this week is very busy. I'm taking some stuff up early (tomorrow), having breakfast with my favorite teacher and one of my best friends, getting life insurance in line (sounds weird at my age but if something should happen), cleaning, packing, and making time for one more summer get together with friends. It didn't seem like I was this busy last year the week before school started but it for sure is keeping me on my toes.
Last week my family and I went on a long weekend to St. Louis to relax and hang out. We hadn't been on a vacation since the summer before I graduated high school and this worked out so we had some fun going to a Cardinals baseball game, the Budweiser brewery, the top of the arch and a jazz club. We each picked an event and I'm sure you can almost guess who picked what : ) Learning how the arch was made was very interesting and nerve wrecking, seeing those workers up there without harnesses and deciding to put up a net when they got over half way done just in case. Fact, all 13 workers who started the arch finished the arch alive!
Well it's become a longer night then I thought and I still have more to do...
