So here's a little something to broaden ones' knowledge into the medical field, CVS. CVS is known as Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and one of my best friends in the whole world has it. Ever since the beginning of senior year my friend Analise has had uncontrolable boughts of vomiting. She can feel them coming on now with a start of a headache and if caught early enough can sleep a few rounds off but usually is trading vomiting for sleeping then more vomiting. She is so strong though all of this and especially at school when there isn't someone there always checking up on her. She hasn't had one in a long time and now has been under the weather for 2 days sleeping, reading books, and whatever she can do from bed.
I have done a little research on my own about CVS and found that young children can grow out of it while teens and adults usually don't. Symptoms can be managed with medication to go a few months between vomiting cycles instead of a week or two. Each case is different and unique and from the sounds/looks of it she will have this the rest of her life unless someone comes up with a new treatment form.
I really do hate it when the "vomit comet", that is what she has named this nagging syndrome, comes to visit her. It always seems to be at the busiest times for her, and if someone truly knows her they would see a 180 turn. Normally she is outgoing, fun, friendly, and looking to enjoy life to the fullest but when the "vomit comet" strikes it's almost like she is a different person, dissusional, extreamly tired, and down. If I could only know what it is like for one visit from the "vomit comet" just to see what she goes through I would do it in a heartbeat.
Seems like recently there has been other bad news deals in my life also. I found out that a friends dad died about a week ago. I couldn't even imagine my dad dying at this stage in my life, I mean there are still momentous things that he has to be a part of; my college graduation, helping me find my first place and car, walking me down the isle at my wedding, seeing his grandchildren and more that I'm forgetting. Carly, if you are reading this I'm very sorry about your loss and I encourage you to cherish the times you had and to always reach out when you need it. We are your core friends and here for you always. Also, my friend Gisell's boyfriend died today in a drunk driving accident. I didn't know much about him but the time I met him he seemed very genuine and a loving man.
The summer advice I have stuck to is that God planned everything before this world was created, all the intricate details and knows every moment of our lives...that is a lot of lives to be incharge of! Things happen for a reason and this is to test us for something we need to be able to handle with in the future.
So to those who are struggling out there, God planned it all so as long as you are walking down his path you will be safe no matter what!
