end to the first week

So it has almost been a whole week since I started my sophomore year of college and I have grown so much already. I'm forcing myself to stay busy with meeting new people and attempting to stay on top of all my reading and studying. I did have a meltdown on the first day of school because I was overwhelmed with a lot of new class work and being in a new dorm and adjusting to a fast paced life again. Thankfully my mom called me when I felt alone (even though God never leaves me) and after that talk some girls on my floor found me and I stepped out and just said what was bothering me and they totally understood. I was going to watch an episode of Army Wives after that but instead had my first singing shower party and painted my nails with the girls. They are awesome women to have around and I'm very thankful to have them in my life.

This year I have enjoyed starting off my day with some quiet time and have been reading Esther. She was so bold in her life and used the positions she was in to glorify God to the best of her abilities. This really makes me want to be used by God in whatever way he wants to use me this year. I already feel I have connected with some freshman in my anatomy class which has been pretty cool because we are all going to Allen so I will be around them for awhile. I ran into one of them at BASIC tonight and that was kinda cool just to get to talk to her and know that she goes to church and stuff.

And the homework continues to call so I must go...

start of sophomore year

So school officially starts up again tomorrow and I have to say that it feels weird being back here but being older and I think will be more normal once classes start up.  The classes I'm taking this year are anatomy 1, china, math and decision making, human growth and development, and social psychology.  I'm in a new dorm this year with a new room mate and it is going so much better than the first two!  Since being here I have helped some of my friends move in, got my books, and have fallen off my loft ladder a few times already.

This year will be a big year for me because I will be officially submitting my radiology application and seeing if I get admitted.  I'm so nervous because this is so official and is the next step to becoming an official adult.  I am fully trusting God and his plan for me this year because I know I can not do this on my own at all.

Off to visit some friends and then to theRiver tonight!
