Life's nagging pains

For about the past week that I have been home I have woken up with a headache every morning and have tossed and turned all night long.  Why is this happening?  You would think that being in my own sturdy bed and not the shaking loft would be more comfortable and allow more sleep.  If anyone has suggestions feel free to post because I have tried different pillows and different blankets and it's not working.

The next thing that bothers me up the waz-oo is from the last time I donated plasma, I don't know what went wrong but on the arm I donated with from my elbow to the tip of my pinky it often goes numb in the day in a half since then.  I'm hoping I just pinched a nerve like I have many times in that arm over the past years, since throwing the discuss, and that it will go away with stretching and time.

So there's my little vent session and I'm hoping things are looking brighter in the near future.

First one!

So...I'm new to this whole blog thing but a few of my friends have them and I think they are really neat so I thought I would give it a try.

My first year of college at UNI went very fast and I can't believe that I'm done and have been on summer vacation for over a week!  The truth is going into college I was scared, excited, nervous and ready to take on the world.  My first roommate was randomly assigned to me and I knew when I first met her in person on move in day that it was not a good match or going to work out.  Gut feelings are usually the right ones to follow and I should have done something sooner but I tried to work it out and needless to say it didn't even last until Thanksgiving.  We were two different people who gave it a go and it just didn't work out.  I then moved into the room right next to my old one with a girl that knew two of my high school friends that also went to UNI.  Things were all good and well and we had some fun!  As the second semester pushed through I met many more new friends and even joined Habitat for Humanity!  As finals before the summer rolled around it was hard to say good bye to the many friends that I had become close to in such little time.

Now that I'm home it's good to be around family and able to 100% relax.  The start of my summer consisted of me unpacking, trying to find a place for everything, attending my brother's track meets, ice cream with some friends, being trained for my job at Hyvee, and taking a friend out for his 20th birthday.  I'm so glad the summer is here and am looking forward to wherever it is going to take me.
